Piano Button  The Orchid Ensemble

Location: Alvord Theatre, Northland College

This Vancouver based trio blends the music and ancient instruments of China with "
World Music, New Music ... Jazz and Creative Improvisation." This superb concert is co-sponsored by Northland College. In addition, the performers will be providing outreach to Lake Superior Primary School.

Piano Button Wisconsin Brass Quintet

This ensemble-in-residence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has been performing throughout Wisconsin and the US since 1972. They have been described as a "remarkable ensemble that plays with more reckless abandon, warmth, stylistic variety, and interpretive interest than almost any quintet in memory."
