 The Orchid EnsembleSunday, November 16th, 2008 7:30 PM Location: Alvord Theatre, Northland College This Vancouver based trio blends the music and ancient instruments of China with "World Music, New Music ... Jazz and Creative Improvisation." This superb concert is co-sponsored by Northland College. In addition, the performers will be providing outreach to Lake Superior Primary School. They have been described as a "remarkable ensemble that plays with more reckless abandon, warmth, stylistic variety, and interpretive interest than almost any quintet in memory."
